The Golf Capital of America's Heartland

The Lake of the Ozarks , already renowned as the premier golf destination in America's Heartland, is quickly becoming recognized by a growing number of golfers nationwide as an excellent and affordable place to hit the links. In fact, the Tan-Tar-A Resort and The Lodge of Four Seasons were ranked among the top 50 golf resorts in the world in a June, 1996, Conde Nast Traveler readers' poll.

This central Missouri resort area boasts 17 courses and 288 holes of golf set amid the Lake's natural beauty. The courses offer variations in length, degree of difficulty, elevation changes, water hazards and layouts, making the sport enjoyable for the serious, recreational or novice golfer. GOLF PACKAGES:
Golf-A-Round Packages enable visitors to make hotel reservations and schedule tee times at any of the associated resorts and courses with a single phone call. Packages are also offered by individual properties. Visitors should contact their preferred club or resort for arrangements.

JUNIOR GOLF:
The Lake of the Ozarks Junior Golf Program enables boys and girls to participate in the Wilson Golf Tournament Series, June through August. Other clinics and reduced rates are offered at many of the courses.

GOLF COURSES:
Tan-Tar-A Resort, Golf Club, Marina & Indoor Waterpark – Open to guests and the public in Osage Beach , it offers the John Jacobs Golf School, special packages, rental equipment, driving ranges, two pro shops, a staff PGA pro available for consultation, and two courses. •  The Oaks Course – Designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert Von Hagge, and totally renovated in 2008-2009, the course is a masterful 18-hole, par 71 layout with 6,432 yards of demanding approaches, strategically placed water hazards and numerous sand traps along a tight terrain and engaging greens to inspire even the finest golfer. In 1994, The Oaks was the host headquarters course for the PGA Club Pro Championship.

•  Hidden Lakes Course – Features nine holes, par 35, and 3,015 yards of meandering fairways set amidst the beauty of stunning lake views, lily ponds and lush, tree-lined fairways.

The Lodge of Four Seasons – Located in Lake Ozark , amenities include a pro shop, PGA pro instruction, custom practice facilities at the Golf University , and numerous golf packages. Phone: 573-365-3000.

•  The Cove, a Robert Trent Jones Sr. Signature Course – This championship design features rolling fairways, large greens, well-placed bunkers and spectacular par 3s. In the design of this 18-hole, 6,567-yard, par 71 course, Jones utilized several fingers of land that jut out into the lake creating challenging golf and some of the most beautiful golf course scenery in the Midwest .

•  The Ridge Course – Opened in 1991, the 6,416-yard, par 72 course was designed by Ken Kavanaugh to accommodate all skill levels of golfers by carefully incorporating multiple tee complexes.

•  Executive Course – Directly across from The Cove, the nine-hole, 1,759-yard course features a par 30 layout which is a challenge for the beginning golfer and an ideal practice course for the advanced golfer.

•  Porto Cima – Opened in 2000, this private, 18-hole course is the only Jack Nicklaus signature course in Missouri .

The Club at Old Kinderhook – This 18-hole, par 71 course designed by Tom Weiskopf opened near Camdenton in 1999. With the rolling topography, rock waterfalls and flowering trees as a backdrop, each hole captures a special aspect of the terrain and offers an experience to delight golfers of all skill levels. Osage National Golf Resort – Featuring three 18-hole combinations, each a par 72, this public facility is nestled in Lake Ozark along the lush Osage River valley. The first 18 holes were designed in 1992 by Arnold Palmer, with nine additional holes added in 1998. Ozark beauty surrounds golfers as wandering creeks, lakes and water features lead to greens ranging from 29 to 47 yards in depth. Phone: 573-365-1950.

Dogwood Hills Golf Club Resort Inn – The 6,157-yard, par 70 course in Osage Beach features 18 holes with generous fairways and gently rolling terrain to provide a variety of different shots for golfers of any skill level. The golf club and resort also offers driving ranges, a sportswear shop, restaurant and lounge facilities, and a PGA pro is available to organize golf outings and packages. Phone: 573-348-3153.

Bear Creek Valley Golf Club – Opened in 2001, Bear Creek Valley offers championship-level golf at a reasonable price. In Osage Beach , the course is an 18-hole, par 72, 6,764-yard course with rolling zoysia fairways, lined with mature oak trees. Facilities include a driving range, practice green, pro shop, clubhouse, casual restaurant and lounge. Phone: 573-302-1000.

Lake Valley Country Club Golf Course – Located near Camdenton, the course is unique with six par 3s, 4s and 5s. It features a par 72 layout with 6,453 yards of rolling hills around two creeks that meander through the course. The creeks and two small lakes come into play on 11 holes and several of the par 5s are reachable for the long hitter. Fitness walking is also allowed during the week. Phone 573-346-7218.

Eldon Country Club Golf Course – Located in Eldon off Bus. Hwy. 54, this course expanded to 18 holes in 1994 and features a par 71 layout and 6,373 yards over rolling hills and along a creek that meanders through the course. The exceptional layout offers four tee locations to challenge golfers of all skill levels. Phone: 573-392-4172.

Rolling Hills Country Club Golf Course – Located in Versailles on the north side of the Lake, the course is an 18-hole, par 71 layout with 6,392 yards winding through Ozarks woodlands and rolling hills. Its park-like setting features some of the Lake area's best bentgrass greens. Phone: 573-378-5109.

The Golf Club at Deer Chase – The Lake 's newest public course, opened in 2004, is off Hwy. 54 between Osage Beach and Camdenton. Great natural beauty and low prices are the 6,400-yard course's selling points. The 18-hole, par 71 course, with bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens, includes 25 bunkers and 20 acres of lakes. Sycamore Creek Golf Club – Located in Osage Beach , this public course expanded to 18 holes in 1999. Boasting quality golf at reasonable prices, this par 72 golf experience features zoysia tees, midiron bermuda fairways and Crenshaw bentgrass greens hidden throughout its valley. Built around a working aqua-culture habitat (fish farm), the course is a favorite with area golfers. Phone: 573-348-9593.

Indian Rock Golf Club – Located near Laurie, this public course boasts the most scenic holes at the Lake . The 18-hole, par 72 layout is located on rolling hills and allows fitness walking during the week. In summer, the driving range is lighted for extended practice and golfers may enjoy Mulligan's Sports Bar & Restaurant (and fine dining at P.L. Traders). Phone: 573-372-3023.

Bay View Golf Course – Located near Osage Beach on State Road Y, the course features a nine-hole, par 35 layout with 2,747 yards of tight fairways and small greens amid a hilly terrain.
