“Liverpool Legends” Return to Main Street Music Hall,
Mar. 5-6 at Central Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks

Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. – For the second consecutive year, Liverpool Legends, the world’s  ultimate Beatles tribute band, will perform two unforgettable shows at the Lake of the Ozarks at Main Street Hall on Main Street Landing in Osage Beach at 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6.  Tickets will be $25 per person, $15 for children 12 or younger; premium seating will be $30 per person, $20 for children 12 or younger.  Purchase tickets at the Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitors Bureau, 5815 Highway 54, or call (800) FUN-LAKE or (573) 348-1599.  Liverpool Legends’ founder, Louise Harrison, sister of the late Beatle, George Harrison, will answer questions from the audience about her brother and the Beatles after both shows

Harrison personally selected “George,” “John,” “Paul” and “Ringo” who perform as Liverpool Legends.  She says she formed the group in 2006 “because there are 300 to 500 Beatles bands throughout the world and they’re all always working, so I knew there must be a demand,” says Harrison. Liverpool Legends came together in Branson, Mo., where the group has been voted Best New Show, Best Band and Best Show.  Now into their fifth season, the group won the prestigious Branson's Visitor Choice Award for Best Show in Branson for 2009.  In 2010, they will perform at Branson’s beautiful Mansion Theatre, mid-March through October.

Marty Scott, who plays George Harrison, was the first “Beatle” Harrison found—or rather, she feels “George found him to be my brother.”  Scott not only duplicates George’s complex guitar solos note for note, but also recreates the late Beatle’s unique vocal style. Harrison says Liverpool Legends’ “John” is “absolutely superb.  Kevin Mantegna is just like John even when he’s not pretending to be him.”  Even Sir Paul McCartney himself, after meeting Kevin stated, "You make a great John!"  Bob Beahon has traveled the world for more than 10 years performing as Sir Paul.  With his left-handed bass playing and close resemblance to the renowed Beatle, Beahon is recognized as one of the top McCartney tribute artists anywhere.  The group’s “Ringo,” Greg George, was a veteran of the Beatles tribute band 1964 The Tribute.  His astonishing resemblance to Ringo in both appearance and drumming style make George the most sought-after Ringo Starr impersonator/look-alike in the world.

Members of Liverpool Legends have toured the world, playing in historic venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Cavern Club in Liverpool; they have recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London and performed with Denny Laine (co-founder of Wings with Paul McCartney), Pete Best (the original Beatles drummer) and the Boston Pops.  They appeared on The Travel Channel's "Beatlemania Britain" and headlined "International Beatles Week" in Liverpool where 100,000 Beatles fans jammed Victoria Street to hear them in concert.

Harrison adds she worked with the band to incorporate many ideas from conversations she had with her brother; as a result, she says, “This is the kind of band with whom George would have enjoyed playing.”

The group covers the entire career of The Beatles and the solo years, with precise attention to every musical detail, costume changes, vintage instruments and special effects.  “The most common comment from the audience is, ‘If I closed my eyes I could swear I’m hearing the Beatles, and when I open my eyes I can swear I’m watching them,’” she says.  “The show makes people glow and puts a spring in their step. It brings back happy memories for a couple of hours and keeps alive the real philosophy of the Beatles—caring about each other, and having a bit of fun, too.”

Liverpool Legends’ performances will be sponsored by the Tri County Lodging Association in association with the Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitors Bureau.  “We’re so excited to bring Liverpool Legends to the Lake of the Ozarks.  The group truly is the best Beatles tribute band in the world and Louise Harrison’s involvement adds real credibility,” says TCLA Executive Director Jim Divincen.

Several Lake-area lodging properties are offering special rates in conjunction with Liverpool Legends’ performances.
